Leaves, seed pods and shingle grit out of your gutters before they overflow.
A clogged gutter fills, overflows and dumps water right where you do not want it: against the fascia, down the siding and into the ground beside the foundation. In winter the trapped water freezes and pulls the gutter away from the house.
We clear the gutters by hand, flush every downspout and watch the water run through. While we are up there we look at hangers, seams and slope, and if something needs fixing we tell you and show you a photo.

Step by step
- Clear leaves and debris from every run by hand
- Flush each downspout and check that it drains
- Check hangers, seams, end caps and slope
- Clean up what falls on the ground, roof and walkways
- Send you photos of anything that needs repair
If a downspout feeds a buried drain pipe and the clog is underground, clearing it can take a drain service. We will tell you if that is where the water is stopping.

Gutter cleaning: questions
How much does gutter cleaning cost?
Most one-story homes run $125 to $200 and most two-story homes $175 to $300. Size, height and how dirty it is all change the price, so we look at your home and confirm the exact price in person before anything is booked.
How often should gutters be cleaned around here?
At least once in late fall after the leaves are down, and again in spring after the maple seeds and catkins drop. Houses under oaks, maples or pines often need a third cleaning.
Do you repair gutters too?
Not right now. We focus on cleaning. If we find a loose hanger, a leaking seam or a downspout that has come apart, we send you photos so you know exactly what to ask a gutter company for.
How long does gutter cleaning take?
About an hour on a typical one-story home and 1.5 to 2.5 hours on a two-story, including flushing the downspouts. Very full gutters under big trees take longer.
